The little rural Chapel, “Madonna del Deserto” (Desert’s Virgin Mary) dedicated, It is located in “Mulino di Giusvalla” localities, Savona’s province. It was built in 1912 from Carlo Marenco was Giovanni and it equipped with of Desert’s Virgin Mary wooden statue

Document transcript: Decree of Blessing of the Chapel located in the Molino region erected at the expense of Mr. Marenco Carlo and dedicated to the Most Holy Name of Mary. The Year of Our Lord One thousand nine hundred and twelve (1912) and at thirteen o’clock in October in Giusvalla, Mulino region,, after delegation of Monsignor Bishop Disma Marchese and in the presence of witnesses Gents: 1) Mazza Giovanni Mayor of Giusvalla, 2) Bonifacino Remigio, 3) Pizzorno Bartolomeo, (councillors) 4) Zunino Bartolomeo. Hired as witness of the function Rev. Don Pietro Massimelli proceted the blessing of the Chapel under title Most Holy Name of Mary, It made built and total expense of Mr. Carlo Marenco was Giovanni that intends oblige him and her successors to conserve said building to sacred worship exclusively, keep it decently ornate and all sacred furnishing provided necessary to function religious. The Marenco is still obliged annually to present cost of said Chapel to “Fabbriceria Parrocchiale” [parochial administration…e.d.] to which will pass into ownership as soon as the present owner will have repaid himself everything that is presumed to take place within ten years. Read in the presence of the texts that are signed in confirmation. It goes without saying that all the offerings made to the Chapel of the Most Holy Name of Mary must be used exclusively for the same.
